I have finally decided on a blogging template, thanks to the gorgeous LeeLou. Thank you! It fits well with my state of mind at the moment: I love Mexico, but it's time for me to go home.
I'm a qualified EFL teacher here, where I've been teaching for nearly 2 years, but back in Australia I still have one more year of my bachelor's degree (the FIFTH!!) to finish before anyone will let me in front of a classroom. I want to tie up those loose ends, get my piece of paper, find my 'forever school' and settle down and maybe have some babies. Ha! I never would have imagined me saying that 2 years ago! But Mexico has been good to me, and as well as giving me my teaching confidence, has introduced me to the love of my life. He'll be coming with me, of course :)
Anyway, I guess I should really explain why I am blogging. I've been wanting to do it for a very long time, but I haven't felt that I've had very much to contribute. My school here in Mexico has a very limited budget so it isn't practical for me to make gorgeous games and activities using colour graphics; we don't even have a colour printer!
But, I've been inspired by all of the awesome blogs I'm following. I owe a huge debt to Teachers Pay Teachers, which is how I first discovered the teacher blogging world. I've been following Linky Parties and Giveaways and finding more and more wonderful ideas and freebies from fellow teachers. I am over the moon with how much easier this group of teachers has made my life! I'm still not sure that I have much of value to contribute just at the moment, but I want to begin my blogging journey now so that I am ready for when I do.
My two areas of specialty are Spanish and EFL/ ESL. So I hope I can help somebody one day!
That's enough for today. Thanks for reading!
¡Me encanta tu blog!!! ¡Felicidades! :-D
ReplyDeleteGracias! No es mucho ahora, pero ahorita... :P Poco a poco, verdad?
ReplyDeleteTPT is one fantastic resource. Welcome to the blogging world :) I'm a new follower of yours so I should probably say, "Me llamo Sara. Mucho gusto!" (I think...) I used to know Spanish from high school, but it's kind of slipped away from me! :)
